By downloading, installing, or using Spectral ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Spectral is developed and operated by Sulaco Digital, a sole trader business based in Auckland, New Zealand ("we", "us", "our"). Contact: [email protected].
Spectral is an Android wallpaper creation app available on Google Play. It allows you to browse curated image collections, generate custom backgrounds using gradients, mesh colours, and patterns, apply stylised overlays, and save wallpapers to your device. No account or registration is required.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Spectral on your Android device solely for your own lawful purposes, in accordance with these Terms and Google Play's terms.
You may not: copy, modify, or distribute the App; reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of it; create derivative applications based on it; or use any part of the App's code, overlays, or design assets outside the App without our prior written permission.
Free tier: All users have access to the core app features. Free users will see ads served by Google AdMob.
Spectral Pro: A one-time in-app purchase available through Google Play. Purchasing Spectral Pro permanently unlocks all premium overlays and removes all ads. Your Pro entitlement is tied to your Google Play account and can be restored on any device signed in to the same account.
We reserve the right to add new features to either tier at any time. Features included in Spectral Pro may change over time, but we will not remove access to features that were available at the time of your purchase without reasonable notice.
All purchases are processed by Google Play. The price is displayed at checkout and may vary by region. Spectral Pro is a one-time purchase — there are no recurring charges.
Refunds are governed entirely by Google Play's refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please submit a request through your Google Play order history.
Any images you upload into Spectral remain your property at all times. They are processed on your device only and are never transmitted to our servers.
Wallpapers you create using Spectral — whether from your own uploaded images or from our curated content combined with overlays — are yours to use freely, including for personal and commercial purposes such as sharing on social media, using in videos, or including in design work.
The Spectral app, its user interface, overlay designs, pattern graphics, and the curated image library (which consists of original photographs, AI-generated imagery, and 3D renders created by Sulaco Digital) are our intellectual property and are protected under applicable law.
You are welcome to use curated images as wallpapers or as part of creative outputs you produce with the App. However, you may not redistribute the raw curated images as standalone files, sell them as stock assets, or claim authorship of them.
Free users will see ads served by Google AdMob. We have no control over the specific ads displayed; they are determined by Google's ad systems. Purchasing Spectral Pro permanently removes all advertising from the App.
You agree not to use Spectral to: violate any applicable laws or regulations; infringe the intellectual property rights of others (for example, by uploading images you do not have rights to use); transmit malicious software or interfere with the App's operation; or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any related systems or networks.
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, we make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that the App will be free of bugs or compatible with all devices.
To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, Sulaco Digital will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including loss of data. Our total liability to you for any direct damages will not exceed the amount you paid for Spectral Pro (if anything).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986 (New Zealand).
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Spectral at any time. If the App is permanently discontinued, your Spectral Pro purchase cannot be refunded beyond Google Play's standard refund window. We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice of any significant changes.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through a notice in the App or by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
